My Return To Humanity Seams all To Boozey

We went to a Screen South Night Tonight [Me and the Baz Monsta that is].  Which was interesting in it’s lack of ambition and over use of money. I’ll tell you more when I have time to be arsed to speak about what so far seams fairly pointless.  Then we stopped off for a beer, or two.  Dave turned up, yada de dum… Back at Barries we got onto the Subject of Buffy…

Possibly the greatist ever T.V. series.

We introduced dave to Once more with Feeling.  His frst experiance… Well I’d forgoten just how brilliant it is.  And more I shall tell when I’m not quite so drunk.

What a shower

Thursday, October 1st, 2009

After nearly three weeks

Of going into Cubicle 2 on the campsite and spending twenty pence on around four minutes of hot water on freezing mornings… I would say that the twenty minutes or more spent in the shower today are more then acceptable. And to be fair, deserved and very lovely. I’m a water baby anyway, I love being in, on and around Water. And after 20 bottles of wine last night I needed it… How Simon is Managing to work, god only knows.

Fear Factor

It’s all very well being ambitious and wanting to make films, which I am of course now doing. But with it there are many factors that you are held responsible for, not least making something that may effect viewers lives. Then there are the people that commit to helping you achieve you aims, and often their dreams. All of these responsibilities can bear down on you or drive you forward. Me for the best part? I find it a stronger motivation having to not let people down. It’s easy to let oneself down, but unbearable to let others down. So I try not to, and I hope that mostly I succeed. There is however much more riding on it these days.

I’ll have an Americano

The man

We were discussing American T.V. last night and in general the quality of it, how much it has improved. There was a rich vain in the 70’s and 80’s and now there is a strong spat of good T.V. coming from there. Ones to watch: Chuck, Burn Notice, Early House, Bones, Dollhouse [though that may just about the leading Lady] and Buffy to name a few of my faverates not 24, Lost, the OC etcetera. And of course my early influences are ‘The Rockford Files‘ and “Magnum“… I also seam to recall ‘Hard Castle and Macormic‘ and ‘Riptide‘. Simon said something that has me thinking, and that is how on the whole the U.K. is not really keeping up with it, most of our Talents feed the states. So perhaps at some stage that is something we will address.
